Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March of 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to the accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Stone has three brothers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone, who was gifted when she was a young child, began her second-grade education at age five. Saegertown School in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. Her graduation was in 1975. She also competed for Saegertown's Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, winning Miss Crawford County. Stone relocated into New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt to pursue a career as models. In less than a month Stone signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency. After a year spent between Milan and Paris the model moved to Europe. Stone however became disillusioned in Europe with the modelling industry, and decided to venture into acting. Woody Allen's film, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews at the age of 20.
